If you have ever thought about becoming the next Colin McRae than getting behind the wheel on a dirt track in an Autocross is a great place to start.
Using your own road car, with a couple of additions and a third party extension, you can head out to Willowbank, Queensland’s racing precinct, for the Ipswich West Moreton Auto Clubs come and try event this Sunday.
The track used is located on Champions Way, Willowbank and is the home ground for the club. The surface is relatively smooth for dirt and only road legal tyres are used. Drivers as young as 14 can try this event and all the licence and event fees are kept as low as possible.
“We will use a variety of tracks and it will all be in fun,” IWMAC said on their Facebook event.
“A great opportunity to see if you are keen to keep coming back and spend the year challenging yourself to win the Holy Grail.”
All of the event details can be found on their Facebook page and be sure to contact the club to find out all the information you need before the day.
