CAMS Shows Off Motorsport

Motorsport in Queensland is well and truly alive and to help promote clubs, CAMS hosted a motorsport expo at Norwell Motorplex.

The idea behind the expo was to give anyone who may be interested in racing an event, with clubs of all disciplines, to gain information and make contacts while not being in a formal race environment.

The event also included clubs and CAMS themselves showing how to become an official and get involved without hitting the track.

Motorkhana, improved production, rallying, go-karts, off-road and hillclimb were just some of the disciplines covered along with how to become an official and how to get involved in the motorsport fire and rescue crews.

With around 1000 spectators through the gates, despite the rainy conditions, the event was a success and many clubs were happy with the turnout.
