The Kooralbyn Car and Bike Show on August 2 was a revving success for the small valley town with a large number of motoring enthusiasts attending.
It was a sea of old and new bikes and cars all gunning to be judged best in one of the many categories. It wasn’t just the entries that saw a record number, but the crowd numbers were the best in the events two year history and more than double that of the year before.
The Kooralbyn RSL Sub-Branch took care of all of the hungry mouths and before the end of the show had sold out of food and drinks. The other coffee and sweet vendors had a positive day with sales.
President of the Kooralbyn Community Centre Gail McKenzie McKinnon said that the day was really busy and so great to see all of the people.
“We were not really sure what to expect with numbers as it is only the events second year and with the COVID scare in Logan. But we had a great turn out and we are all really thankful for the support of locals and all of the clubs and people that came out.
“The sponsors of the event are all happy with how it went and we are looking forward to working with the organisers for the 2021 show”.
